Africa fears vaccine shortages and efficacy and urges equity
As the new COVID-19 vaccines make their way around the world after months of anticipation, hopes are high that the end of a pandemic, which has killed millions of people across the globe, might now be within reach.
By early 2021, at least five vaccines were available, each with different requirements for administering them, estimated efficacy and costs, but the rollout has not been without controversy.
