Policy makers need to commit to structural changes to reignite economic growth

The global economy is expected to shrink by a massive 5.2% this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of associated national restrictions introduced to slow the spread of the infection. This would make it the deepest global recession since the Second World War and almost three times as steep as the 2008/09 global financial crisis.
